Day 16 & 17

Pairing up the days seems to work better for me, especially seeing as this was quite a busy weekend!

London Trip: £32.30 (non-essential)

– Train ticket £14.00
– Steak and ale pie £6.50
– Large 99 flake £1.80
– Pint of beer £2.50
– Cocktail – £5.50
– Subway – £2.00

Barbeque food – £7.00 (non-essential)

Total: £1018.27 (£837.19 essential – 82%)

Day 14 & 15

Petrol – £53.11 (essential)

Total: £978.97 (£837.19 essential – 85%)

I’m really beginning to doubt the actual merit of this challenge. Still may as well finish it, seeing as I’ve got half way.

I found this Highly intellectual paper to be most amusing, although that may just reflect on me, a form of peer review is perhaps advised?

Day 12 & 13

Tesco shop: £16.65 (essential)

Total: 925.86 (£784.08 – 85% essential)

I didn’t spend any money on day 12, go me!

I knew that spurning coffee and tea was a good idea, now I feel smug!

Well I’ve lost track a little bit, so:
Day 9, 10 & 11

Numerous Tesco visits: £58.21 (non-essential)
Health insurance: £12.13 (essential)

Total: £909.04 (£767.43 – 84% essential)

The visits to tesco were preparing/post-paring for our houseparty, which went pretty well, much fun was had by all.

Day 8

Rent – £400 (essential)
Account fees – £5 (essential)
Car insurance – £41.42 (essential)

Total: £838.70 (£755.30 essential – 91%)

Day 7
No spending today!
Woohoo!

Total: 392.28 (£308.88 essential – 79%)

So we enter Day six, in the ‘keeping track of me spending money’ game:

Bongos – £44.94 (non-essential)
Wheel bearing replacement on car – £94 (essential)

Total: 392.28 (£308.88 essential – 79%)

Big drop in essential spending today (well technically yesterday), but those bongos were on special offer…

Day 5

Mobile phone bill – £26 (essential)

Total: £253.34 (£214.88 essential – 85%)

On the plus side I just won £10 at poker 🙂
